After gaining a degree in Fine Art from Loughborough, Rob has gone on to develop his craft using the Scottish landscape as his inspiration. He won a Civic Trust Award for his work in the Italian Centre in Glasgow and has had works on show at St. Mungo's Museum of Religious Life and Art whilst more recently exhibiting "The Weird and Wonderful World of Rob Hain" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010, with Art Amatoria.

Rob’s fondness for the community reveals itself in the Lowry-inspired townscapes he paints whilst equally being at home with more abstract compositions. Through this approach Rob portrays not only the towns and landscape but the life of the communities in a visual ethnographical account.

It was while running classes for artists from the Brothers of Charity and The Scottish Association for Mental Health that he gained an insight into a different approach to art. He began to engage on a more immediate level and the resultant works became increasingly intuitive and less staged.

Expanding into new geographic locations, Rob remains grounded by his love of his family and their support, the future is as vibrant and bright as his art.
