One of the good things about being a painter is that you can play with the paint and create images that surprise you as you work. There is a form of 'dialogue' between you and the painting. As you work you instinctively respond to the painting. To create this image I used a burning candle and allowed the hot wax to drop and splash onto the painting. The wax created a mask for subsequent coats of paint. By scratching into the wax I was able to disdress the image.
